- "Subscription" means any subscriptions maintained by us under these Terms and Conditions.
- "Subscriber" means the individual in whose name the subscription is maintained.
- "Magazine" means the magazines under which the subscription relates to.
- "Free Gift" means the free gift which may be given together a new subscription.
- "Terms and Conditions" mean the terms and conditions set out herein and by which the subscriptions shall be governed and shall include all modifications and supplementals thereto from time to time.
- "We", "our", "us", "EMIT" mean EMIT International Pte Ltd.
- "You". "your" mean the subscriber
- The headings in the Terms and Conditions are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions. Unless the context otherwise requires or permits, references to the singular number shall include references to the plural number and vice versa and references to natural persons shall include bodies corporate. EMIT reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time.
- 2.1
Any person may apply to be a subscriber of EMIT's magazines.
- 2.2 The terms for subscriptions is for one year or two years and subscriptions are transferable to another person but not to another magazine.
- 2.3 We reserve the right to refuse any transfer request.
- 2.4 Except as otherwise restricted herein, all subscribers who have paid for subscriptions in full are entitled to receive free gifts.
- 2.5 EMIT reserves the right to change, suspend or terminate free gifts at any time it deems necessary.
- 2.6 All questions or disputes regarding eligibility for the free gifts will be resolved by EMIT at its sole discretion.
- 2.2 The terms for subscriptions is for one year or two years and subscriptions are transferable to another person but not to another magazine.
- 3.1 Payment for subscriptions are to be in Singapore dollars.
- 3.2 You may also authorise your financial institution to debit (GIRO) directly the amount payable to us.
- 3.3 If you select payment by GIRO we will advise you of the terms and conditions governing its operation.
- 3.4 If we receive a cheque, draft or other payment instrument from or for you that is not honoured in full, you agree to pay the dishonoured amount plus any reasonable collections costs and legal fees incurred by us.
- 3.5 We may charge a handling fee for any dishonoured cheque or payment order.
- 3.6 Save for subscriptions from personnel of the Singapore Armed Forces, Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (hereinafter referred to as "forces"), magazines will only be delivered on full payment.
- 3.7 You shall not use the free gift to offset payment of the subscription.
- 3.8 We may treat you as being in default if we do not receive payment after the stipulated time.
- 3.9 If you are in default, we may require you to pay us immediately all sums outsanding on your subscription and/or cancel your subscription.
- 3.10 You further agree that , if you default, you will pay us all reasonable costs and expenses incurred or expended by us or on our behalf, including legal fees, in recovering or attempting to recover any monies owing to us.
- 3.11 The free gift shall not be exchanged for cash.
- 3.12 Payments for subscriptions made by forces may be made by way of two equal instalments for a one year subscriptions or four equal instalments for a two year subscription.
- 3.2 You may also authorise your financial institution to debit (GIRO) directly the amount payable to us.
- 4.1 For whatever reason, if you wish to terminate the subscription, for a one year subscription, you may only terminate your subscription only after subscribing to the magazine for a minimum period of six months. You may however keep the free gift.
- 4.2 For a two year subscription, you may terminate your subscription only after subscribing to the magazine for a minimum period of one year. You may however keep the free gift.
- 4.3 Termination of subscriptions after the minimum period are subject to a minimum cancellation charge of 20% of the subscription price, bank charges and any other incidental charges that may be incurred by us.
- 4.4 To terminate after the minimum period, we must receive written notice from you.
- 4.5 The refund on the balance of undelivered subscription will take place after about six to eight weeks.
- 4.2 For a two year subscription, you may terminate your subscription only after subscribing to the magazine for a minimum period of one year. You may however keep the free gift.
- 5.1 You must notify us immediately in writing of any change in your name and/or mailing address.
- 5.2 We shall not be responsible for lost magazines sent to addresses given by you that are incorrect or outdated.
- 5.3 Any magazines sent by us shall be considered as received by you seven days after the date of posting unless we receive written notice from you otherwise.
- 5.4 Upon notification by you, it will take between four to six weeks for delivery of the magazine to your new mailing address.
- 5.2 We shall not be responsible for lost magazines sent to addresses given by you that are incorrect or outdated.
6.2 Any notice sent by us shall be considered as received by you seven days after the date of posting.
